In response to concern for the treatment of the horses pulling carriages around Central Park, an auto coach-builder has created a more humane alternative. Check out the eCarriage prototype on display in New York, and learn more of its back story.
Jeep's new SUV is it's smallest.
The new Jeep Renegade SUV made its North American debut at the show. The brand's first subcompact SUV will compete with other subcompacts also introduced at the show.
Acura revitalizes with the 2015 TLX sedan.
To make up for the current TL's disappointing sales, Acura showed off the TLX. Although the new model was unveiled in Detroit earlier this year, Acura released more details and real specs at the show.
After 20 years, Alfa Romeo returns to the U.S.
Fiat Chrysler, the parent of Alfa Romeo, unveiled the 4C car model at the show. The first 100 4C's will be shipped to the U.S. for sale by late June or early July.
Audi ! makes its own comeback.
Audi debuted the 2015 A3 TDI Sportback in New York, which will be sold in the United States next summer. Audi brought back this hatchback model due to its popular demand.
A Mad Man introduces a new Mercedes.
Jon Hamm of Mad Men introduced the all-new S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe, known as the "ultimate statement car." If the TV show was set in the present, Hamm said that he "would absolutely demand that Don Draper drive this car."
Scion puts its new "Release Series" on show.
Scion's new series is a customized version of the FR-S model with parts from both Japan and the U.S. Its distinctive look is shown off in New York, and will come to dealerships in August.
Scion xB the tenth.
Almost a decade after the original xB was introduced in the U.S., the xB Release Series 10.0 debuted in New York. One feature of this latest edition includes the car's ability to project the Scion logo on the pavement under the rear bumper.
Move over Equinox, Chevy's Trax SUV is coming to the U.S.
It's been on sale in other countries since 2012, but Chevy will sell its subcompact SUV in the U.S. late this year or early next year. Slightly longer than the other subcompact SUV's, those at the show have the chance to check out the Trax's above-average leg room.
Mercedes teases with some interior.
All of the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT isn't showcased in New York, but the interior is. Labeled as a "concept car," the coupe's cockpit is displayed as a sneak peak.
Honda left the HR-V at home, but brought a robot.
The auto show attendees buzzed over the Fit-based HR-V small SUV no-show. However, Honda's even-evolving humanoid robot, Asimo, was present.
BMW's plug-in concept is revealed.
BMW doesn't only do diesel. It's now getting more serious about a plug-in hybrid model of the X5 midsize SUV, which is displayed at the show.
Subaru unveils the new Outback.
With a sleeker look for 2015, the new Subaru Outback has a "faster silh! ouette." ! Check out all of the new model's other features here.
Chevy updates its Cruze compact car.
Also unveiled at the show, the new Cruze has a fresh look with upgraded infotainment and connectivity. The Cruze is one of three new vehicles GM unveiled in New York.
Chevy's "supercar."
The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is making an appearance at the show, bringing more than 600 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. This is the first offer of its kind since 1963.
Volkswagen refreshes the Jetta.
The 2015 Jetta made its global debut at the auto show, but the main elements of the refresh lie under the skin. Only photos and details were released before this week.
VW also brought a concept model.
As part of its 2015 re-do, Volkswagen is renaming its small station wagon the Golf SportWagen. The model isn't due at U.S. dealers until early next year, but a concept model is on display at the show.
Rear-view mirrors of the future.
Nissan's display at the show includes a camera that could replace the car's rear-view mirror. A Nissan Rogue SUV exhibits the new technology, but it isn't likely for showroom models soon.
Nissan's 2015 Versa is still cheap.
The restyled small car is also on display at the show, and it's still cheap. Even though the new model has more features than the last, the starting price is $12,810.
Ford flaunts its super-luxury van.
The Transit Skyliner is Ford's way of getting a foothold in the luxury transportation market. The vehicle's interior is filled with swanky options, and a full concept model is on display in New York.
Mazda's new Miata was a tease.
The new MX-5 Miata never made an appearance at the show, but it is in our future. What Mazda did display was a 25th anniversary edition, of which only 100 will be made.
