Friday’s Stocks to Watch: Cooper, Diamond Foods

Here are a few stocks to keep on your radar:

  • Cooper Cos. (NYSE:COO)�shares gained 3.2%�in early Friday trading after the company beat Wall Street’s second-quarter profit and revenue expectations late Thursday and said full-year profit would beat analysts’ current estimates.
  • Diamond Foods (NASDAQ:DMND)�slipped 3.7%�after the company beat analysts’ fiscal third-quarter profit and revenue expectations but said fourth-quarter profit would miss estimates.
  • Educational stocks were continuing to garner attention in the wake of the sector’s jump on Thursday that followed a Department of Education ruling�affecting compliance rules for federal loans. On Friday, Corinthian Colleges (NASDAQ:COCO) was off 4.6%, Apollo Group (NASDAQ:APOL) fell 1.1%, and ITT Educational Services (NYSE:ESI) dropped 0.7%.
